Sketch Quest Walkthrough
Sketch Quest is a unique and artistic platforming game that incorporates elements of the drawing game genre. This drawing game features a variety of unique enemies, humorous sound effects, surrealist backgrounds, and automatic saving.
The objective of Sketch Quest is to guide your hero from the beginning of each level to a doorway that appears at the end of each level. Along the way, you will have to deal with a variety of enemies, traps, and hazards in this platforming game. There is no scoring, time limit, or death limit in this game; simply make it to the end of each of his drawing game's six levels, and enjoy the journey!
Sketch Quest contains a variety of hazards and objects that are color-coded. Red objects are enemies or hazards that will hurt you. If is best to avoid these or defeat them with your weaponry if you can. If your character touches any red object, then he will take damage (your life bar is represented by a pencil in the upper-right corner of the game's interface) or die.
Green objects are objects that may be interacted with in some way. Green objects may act as keys, switches, or checkpoints in this drawing game. Use your intuition, and you'll eventually figure out what to do!
Blue objects in Sketch Quest are objects that may be drawn on. Some of these objects are simple sketch boards that are only presented as secrets to be found, while others are drawing raccoons. Drawing raccoons allow you to create your weapons, clothing, and even custom enemies! To access a drawing raccoon, simple press the E key while you are standing in front of it, but make sure that the area is clear of enemies because they can still damage you while you are drawing.
Drawing weapons in Sketch Quest is simple. You are presented with a template represented by a dotted line, but you may choose your own designs in this drawing game. I found that using my drawing tablet was very useful for this part of the drawing game, but if you do not have one available, the mouse will suffice. You may also add special powers to your weapon by using the two colors to the right of the drawing interface. The yellow pen typically makes your attacks more damaging, while the green pen will modify your weapons' attack. The color of ink that is more prominent determines the power of the weapon, so you cannot combine these properties. I found that dealing more damage was more useful in this drawing game, but you can experiment to find out what works best for you.
Sketch Quest is a unique and artist platforming game that you are sure to enjoy. Despite its brevity, Sketch Quest is the golden standard for drawing games!
